Welcome
Leo Multiple District 306Sri Lanka & Maldives
The youth organization of Lions Clubs International. Projects here are planned, funded and led by young people themselves.

What we are part of
Lions Clubs International
Lions Clubs International (LCI), founded by Melvin Jones in 1917, is the largest service organization in the world with 1.4 million members. The organization is dedicated to humanitarian efforts, promoting peace, and fostering cross-cultural understanding through its global network of over 46,000 clubs. LCI's motto, "We Serve," reflects its commitment to helping communities in need, regardless of language, religion, or politics.
Our leadership
The Multiple District Council
Every office in Leo MD 306 is held by a Leo, elected by Leos, for one Leo year. Nobody is appointed to lead here without having served first.
Leo year 2026/27
President
Chairs the council and speaks for MD 306 to Lions Clubs International.
Vice President
Works with the president on the year's programme, and stands in for the chair.
Secretary
Keeps the record — minutes, correspondence, and the club reporting.
Treasurer
Keeps the accounts — dues, project funds, and the year's statements.
Names and portraits will be published here once MD 306 confirms the roster and each officer has consented to appear.
Our causes
Eleven causes, one way of working
Six of them are Lions Clubs International's global causes and one is the Leo programme itself. The rest are the work clubs here were already doing before anybody had a category for it — planned locally, run by the young people who live there.
- 01HungerMeals, food drives and school nutrition, run where clubs live.
- 02EnvironmentCoastlines, planting and waste, in the hands of the next generation.
- 03DiabetesEarly detection, and the awareness that leads people to it.
- 04SightThe oldest Lions cause, carried forward by Leos.
- 05Childhood cancerThe ward, the family, and awareness that gets a child seen sooner.
- 06Disaster reliefThe week after the water goes down, when it is hands that are short.
- 07Youth empowermentThe cause we are ourselves. Leadership, in practice.
What we stand on
Three pillars hold up everything we do
Every project a Leo club runs, anywhere across the two countries, comes back to these.

Experience
Gaining practical experience through impactful volunteerism.
Opportunity
